Anthony "Tony" John Fagiano passed away November 28, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. Tony was born June 18, 1932 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Tony honorably served in the U.S. Air Force and proudly served as a Military Secretary to the General in Command of European Operations. Tony's military assignments provided him with the opportunity to serve Easter Sunday mass for Pope Pius XII at St. Peter's Basilica, Vatican City, Italy. After fulfilling his military service, Tony was honorably discharged in 1955.
Tony worked as an Insurance Examiner while attending Regis College in Denver, Colorado where Tony received his Bachelor's Degree. Tony met the love of his life, Concetta, in 1957. Married on January 23, 1960, they were blessed with four children, Therese Kissel (Michael); Elizabeth Binfet (Jeremy); James Fagiano; and Anthony Fagiano (Sunshine).
Tony's successful career as an actuary led to Director of Insurance for the State of Idaho appointed by Governor Cecil D. Andrus from 1987 until 1991. Tony then worked as an independent examiner until his retirement in 2006.
Tony is survived by his wife and children; his sister, Geraldine O'Leary of Denver; and his loving grandchildren: Mitchell (Megan) and Brady Kissel; Jacob and Joseph Binfet; and Brenlee, Nicolette, and Sophia Fagiano; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Summers Funeral Homes, Ustick Chapel, Meridian. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Friday, December 5, 2014 at St. Mark's Catholic Church, Boise, with full military burial to follow at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery.
The family would like to extend a special Thank You to the staff at Life Care Center of Treasure Valley and St. Alphonsus Hospital, especially Dr. Ryan Williams and the 8th Floor nurses.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions be made in his name to Northwest Parkinson's Foundation via their website www.nwpf.org or to the Idaho Humane Society.

Concetta is survived by her children and grandchildren, Mitchell (Megan) and Brady Kissel, Jacob and Joseph Binfet, Brenlee, Nicolette, and Sophia Fagiano, in addition to two great grandchildren, Colter and Wyatt Kissel, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Concetta had numerous passions in life, including cooking. She will fondly be remembered for her Italian Christmas cookies and ravioli. She was an avid tennis player, both in Denver and in Boise, and followed tennis throughout her life. She will also be thought of for her humorous nature and spirited personality.
Concetta's family thank Copper Springs Senior Living and Life Care Center of Treasure Valley for their exceptional care.
Services are scheduled for Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery.
